Candidate for Ward 8
Natalie Winkler has lived in Ward 8 for 20 years. She has a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University and a Law Degree from the University of Calgary. She is also a mother and a wife.
Natalie's experience as a journalist and a lawyer, have equipped her with the skills to bring the best outcomes for Ward 8. Natalie feels this election is a chance for Calgarians to elect representatives that will restore their trust in City Hall.
Natalie has been listening to the residents of Ward 8 and she believes accountability to the electorate is essential. Natalie is passionate about preserving municipal park space and keeping development respectful of the surrounding area and existing community interests. She also believes that with prudent fiscal restraint, City Council can reign in spending in order to limit the necessity of the consistent tax increases Calgarians have experienced, by both residents as well as small businesses.
Natalie's independent background allows her to be unbiased and free from influence so that she would be able to make decisions in the best interests of Ward 8 and all Calgarians. Natalie also wants to ensure that the City is inclusive and that affordable housing options are increased. Natalie believes in Calgary’s future and is ready to become the representative for Ward 8.
