Get him out NOW. NEED someone who is truly sincere looking out for Calgarians and not filling his pocket for an empire of his own and also his associates with the same goal.

City employees are more concerned with virtue signaling their woke values than they are with adding value in return for their oversized salaries. Contract out as much city work as possible to the private sector, please.

It’s time that council has a good look at a large group of city workers that seem to think that their jobs are early retirement. I had a group of 9 men working on replacing 30 feet of sidewalk. Two working and the rest leaning on shovels or on their cellphones. The tv coverage of most city projects ie the water main break a couple years ago should have been embarrassing to city managers, the wasteful manpower was evident, 2 guys down in the hole with 5 or6 standing around watching. In my working days we built high voltage substations with 3 man crews and got some self satisfaction in doing so. The city would be much better off if all work was contracted with fixed prices. My thoughts for your consideration.

Yes, the City Manager must go AND the whole layer of top managers on the water file.

In any private organization, a blunder this big would be a reassessment and removal of the person in charge. In addition there would be changes/removals of the next few layers. Why should the City personnel be protected.
