We need council members who will listen to their constituents, rather than ignore them.

Okay, so we’re faced with people who cannot afford to live in their homes anymore. Usually the seniors who built this city and made Calgary the wonderful place it is. So what are you proposing?.. an increase in utilities? I just hope there’s an exception made for low income people. We have to fix our infrastructure but we don’t need more bicycle paths or snow removal on every street. Please tighten up and for Gods’ sake don’t just dump it on the businesses.

I am so sick and tired of the pet projects this council is doing when we are all struggling. The green line, the arena, statues of the 5 moved etc. etc. These are not necessities. They need to budget like the rest of us do and a tax increase is the worst thing they could do. What about the repairs for our water this past summer. Use that wasted money for that . I cannot wait for the next election. They ALL need to go.

Exponential growth of new communities in Calgary generating incremental tax revenues does not equate to more taxes. Time for a serious internal audit and spending reductions.

Frivolities like ridiculous 1.5 Km tunnel, bike paths which are really not practical in the winter time and the list goes on and on. Turns out that nobody was checking the condition of our services and blind panic set in when the main north line burst. Now they want to take out a $1 billion loan.

Stop trying to leave your legacy with pet projects that only affect a minority. Leaving the city’s basic services in a better place than when you got in is the best legacy. Especially when doing that without raising taxes.

City council has to get their heads out of the clouds and start facing reality in their budgeting and spending!!!
