Council Tracker: Election Edition

It's almost election day.

But before you go and vote, a reminder.

A reminder of what happened at City Hall over the last four years.

A reminder of how your representatives voted.

And a reminder that this election you get to choose to vote for more of the same, or something different.

Because, this election, three incumbent Councillors are running for Mayor, and five other incumbent Councillors are running for re-election.

So before you go and vote them back in again, or vote them out, shouldn't we take a look back at their voting records for the last four years?

Of course we should!

Without outside scrutiny and accountability, it's too easy for a candidate to promise you one thing when they knock on your door, and then do the complete opposite for four years as a candidate.

And if a candidate's values haven't aligned with yours over the last four years, what are the chances they will over the next four years, regardless of what they say in their fancy speeches or write in their glossy literature pieces?

So, without further ado, see below for an array of Council votes from 2017-2021, taken from our Council Tracker project database, that we think you might find interesting based on the extensive feedback we've received from our online community.
