Enough with the social engineering and petty pet projects of a few members of Council and the Mayor. Enough with the “let’s penalize everyone for the poor actions of a few” mentality. Do they honestly think they are going to stop “speeders” by lowering the speed limit? If they are exceeding the current posted speed limit, it doesn’t matter what the sign says.

Just like their COVID response, where they should of followed their well thought out and pre-planned Pandemic Response, they are flying by the seat of their pants at our expense.

Here’s a recommendation for a research project: How many times has there been public engagement meetings on projects, or about anything, where the City has actually listened and made changes? The answer is just public appeasement and they do what they want anyway. How about try listening to your constituents for a change. There are a lot of brilliant people in Calgary who are much smarter than they are, try listening to them for a change. What’s unfortunate is that these people will rarely run for Mayor or Council because the pay is too low so we typically only get those where this is the best job they can get. GO JEREMY FARKAS & BRAD FIELDBUSINESSMEN WHO CAN ACTUALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE./

City Hall is a waste of money and utterly useless in helping Calgarians!

I have written to J Gondek twice telling her not to lower speed limits, a cash cow of tickets from frustrated drivers. She blamed covid (people complaining of speeders). This was not true as council has planed this for several years. I also asked, since they plan to inconvenience everyone AND expense the whole city, ‘how many complaints & where‘ & she ignored my question. I am done with slick politicians.
