Defund Calgary Council

On Wednesday, 4th November, Council voted 9-5 to defund the Calgary Police by $20 million.

You can see how your Councillor voted here:

Now if Council was actually cutting wasteful spending within the Police budget then maybe we could get behind this.

But yesterday's vote wasn't even to cut spending, it was to simply transfer $20 million from the Police budget to fund more of Council's activist pet projects.

Calgary Council has completely lost the plot and is no longer representing the majority of Calgarians.

Calgary's 2021 budget will be discussed later in November

The Mayor needs to go, he is leading this stupidity. A campaign that exposes the damage he is doing to our city needs to be clearly exposed.

Next election, 1 outstanding candidate needs to be supported and stop splitting the vote.
