Even when I worked downtown I would not travel by bus or train. Concern for my safety 8 years ago are more valid today than ever.

we live downtown; we do not walk outside at night and wont take the C train. Our city is not safe and should be Council’s number on priority. Will people fear getting stabbed after leaving a hockey game?

Get moving on building apartments. Every time I read about this, you are “meeting” in a week, 2 weeks, a month! Get moving!!

    Stop open drug locations. Period.

Stop wasting our money on drugs for homeless. I can’t believe I had to type that sentence!!

Calgary under the current Mayor is deteriorating very quickly! This is what you get when the WEF owns a city council

I’d much rather drive 60-75 minutes round-trip each work day in my own vehicle (and incur it’s associated expenses) than participate in Mayor Gondek’s transit system. Using transit (for me) requires investing more time than driving, at the cost of safety.

When law enforcement and the judicial system won’t act, the people won’t ride.

Until more facets exist to solve the homeless-drug addiction-mental health cycle, the transit problem won’t be fixed. Every Calgarian needs to watch Aaron Gunn’s documentary “Canada Is Dying” in order to understand how city administrations and mainstream medical have taken the wrong approach.

The city is sitting on $1.5B in unallocated monies; how about hiring enough peace officers to insure every train has one officer aboard during C-train operational hours, with more officers available to patrol the stations?

If this is as good as it’s going to get for the foreseeable future, then I’d rather not support the Green Line expansion.

As usual the safety of our citizens is on the back burner because of Silly Hall policies that do nothing to stop crime and allow these people to roam freely!!!!!

It has been over 3 years since I last used public transit. At the time, I had become fed up with the vagrants, random violence, drug use, and unsanitary conditions. It seems that the problems have just gotten worse since then. I will not consider using public transit again until the City takes serious, practical action to improve the situation.

I quit riding the LRT as I don’t feel safe.
