I want full auditability and transparency on the vote counting of the next civic election. An accountable process has always been assumed to be a reasonable request and if there is pushback to auditability now, we will have to ask why.

A tax hike at this time when people are already struggling is ludicrous! On top of that a pay increase to city council is a kick in the guts to us. This all needs to be stopped!!!

From Calgary Herald on page A16 in the year of 2021 was Calgary City Council Failure to get a Grasp on the Cities Finances. In 2020 the cash and securities on hand were more than $5 Billion .The cities Revenues in 2019, were over $1.3 Billion. So in the last 2 years the City took in $2.2 Billion than it needed to pay for all of it’s expenses. Does that sound like they need to raise out property Taxes and add Parking fees in front of our homes?

Just days after the tax hike was announced CTV news reported city hall had a windfall from the electricity transmission fees we all pay and they didn’t know what to do with that windfall. They also reported that in previous years revenue from those fees had always been used to prevent or reduce property tax increases but would not be used for that this year. Does this make any sense to anyone at all?
