Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Happy Holidays from Common Sense Calgary
On behalf of Common Sense Calgary, Directors, and volunteers, thank you for your interest and support over the years. At this time of year we see the kindness and charity of Calgarians. The kind of spirit that makes our City such a great place to live, work, and play. It's wonderful to see that Calgarians are willing to be a part of and contribute to the well being and prosperity of our city.
With that being said, the enjoyment from living in Calgary depends on many important decisions made year round by our elected City Councillors. While charitable and giving, Calgarians still want their tax dollars to be used responsibly for necessary and worthwhile projects. Wouldn't it be great if our Councillors made more fiscally responsible decisions? Decisions based on fact, logic and plain old ordinary - common sense. Many projects and plans are in the works that call for careful consideration of your tax dollars. Information must be presented outside the realm and dialogue presented at City Hall.
Common Sense Calgary has made great strides in balancing the dialogue on decisions made in municipal government. We are committed to raising awareness because we need to see more responsible spending and better government at City Hall. To combat the army of bureaucrats and Councillors pushing their own pet projects we also need your help.
Common Sense Calgary makes a difference as the only organization dedicated exclusively to dialogue on civic politics. With the 2017 municipal election just one short year away, we are looking forward to more public engagement. Our plan includes election-related events, on-line polling and work with local media to help Calgarians cast well-informed votes with confidence.
We are excited to kick-off the 2017 election season.
Our election framework will connect the most important issues being discussed at City Hall.
We wish you and yours the very best this holiday season. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Happy Holidays!
